The storytelling project for our co-investments is moving forward. We are starting with four organizations (Love Columbia, Central Missouri Human Society, Central Missouri Community Action, and Anderson Homes Foundation) based on their grants from 2025. The outlined process from Hoot Design will take around 10 weeks from discovery to the finished product. I’m looking forward to seeing how this turns out as well as how it’s utilized by the organizations~!
I am working on an internal document that helps to define and create a hierarchy of the words we use at WGL Foundation. The goal of this document is to help all of us in knowing how to speak about the Foundation and when to use certain words. For example, understanding what the word “transformational” means and how it applies to our investment strategy. I want us to also have a list of commonly used terms and a brief definition of each one. Based on my count, we have around 15-20 unique terms describing our work. As we identify and define these, our external messaging and internal focus is more aligned and consistent. I’ll share these documents once they are finalized in March.
