Housing: You can read the latest on our housing efforts/housing summit in the June 24th memo. I am also excited that I have an intern who will start on July 6th to help with organizing the “catalytic convenings”. I also had some productive meetings in St. Louis at the St. Louis Federal Reserve to learn more about various public/private/nonprofit partnerships. Exploring how to expand this in our community will be essential for forwarding effective housing solutions. Last, as I look head, I believe we are moving forward with a potential FTE that will help in managing the Housing 5-year plan. This position would be based at the Foundation, track all data, manage relationships, and continue to push forward our Do’s as the community moves forward. I need to flush out this approach a little more but that’s what I am seeing far down the road.

Education: I was invited to meet with the new president at Stephens College. We started talking about their available space. I wonder if an education hub that includes a few tutoring programs under one roof might be worth exploring. I will keep that in mind as other possibilities around education present
